What this site collects, what it does not, and how it is kept separate from your documents.

The short version

This site has no accounts, no sign-in and no newsletter. It does not ask you for your name, your email address or anything else. There is nothing here for you to fill in.

Your documents are not on this site

The XobaWrite editor is a separate site on a separate address. Documents you write there are stored in your own browser on your own device, and they are never sent to this site. Browsers keep websites apart from each other by design, so nothing running here — including advertising — can read anything stored there.

The editor carries no advertising, and this separation is the reason why.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently running on this site, so no advertising cookies are set. When it is switched on it will be Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve and measure ads, and this page will be updated to describe exactly what that involves before any ad is shown.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records ordinary request information — IP address, time, the page requested, and the browser's user agent string — in order to serve pages and protect the service from abuse. This is standard server logging and is not used to build a profile of you.

What this site does not do

• No accounts, sign-ins or passwords
• No contact forms, newsletters or mailing lists
• No analytics product tracking you across pages
• No selling or sharing of personal data, because none is collected
• No access to anything you write in the editor

Children

This site is aimed at students and people writing job applications. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this changes — most likely when advertising is switched on — this page is updated before the change goes live rather than after.
